Cella Extra Extra Purissima rancid

Salve a tutti,

I am sorry not being able to write Italian. I am from Spain.

I have been using Cella Extra Extra Purissima in its 1kg panetto for years. The two first panetti went perfect, nevertheless, the third one got rancid after some time. The soap lost its performance. I was not sure if it was due to the razor, blades or what. Finally, I discovered that it was something wrong with my Cella.

I kept the three panetti in the same conditions: wrapped in its original film, closed inside a Tupperware and not exposed to light or temperatures. What did I do wrong?

Since then, I have been using MWF and Cade, with great success, but I want to come back to Cella as my only soap.

Any help?

What did I do wrong?

Maybe nothing.

For the next, It'd better to part the soap.
Doses can be 100ml or littler.
All the parts can be docked in the freezer.
So they'll last (almost) forever at its best.

Take a look to the batches numbers: maybe two are close each other (the good ones) and one not.

I had the same problem with two jars. After a while they became hard and yellow. Almond smell disappears almost completely.

I am just testing red Vitos soap (1 kg brick, with coconut oil). For me it is better than Cella, better protection, less "syntetic" smell (always benzaldehyde but seems more marzipan than chemical).
Protection is far better, price is three time less.

The problem is the tallow. Cella seems to contain a lot of it, rancidity is easy and fast.

If you like almond smell, red Vitos is the only other option...

Where you buy these soaps? In Spain or Italy? Try to buy Vitos from a good Italian online shop, you will probably save a lot of money...
