Questa è la risposta alle mie domande sui costi del rasoio:
Hi Antonio,
Thanks for the note. I got the same question from someone else, and this is what I wrote back.“Unfortunately, the Janus Razor is on the spendy side starting at $500+. It bums me out that it won’t be accessible to most folks. At that price I don’t expect to move a lot of these units. There are no economies of scale on this project to move cost down. Quite frankly, there are a lot of good shavers at <$100 like the Fatboy, and the incredible gorgeous Gillette Toggle at $300+. Wetshavers have a lot of good choices! However, those interested in a new interpretation of the iconic toggle in 316, the pesky bits fixed, the good bits left intact, made in the USA, and a ton more improvements over the original (side-by-side comparison coming in the Jan Newsletter) + same blade exposures at each setting like the Gillette Toggle will at least entertain the idea of owning a Janus Razor.
Please check out these two previous newsletters I sent a while back. I’m candid about what goes into cost, and as a consequence, the selling price. I also shared compromises to reduce cost which most people hated. Also, I’m not crazy about a project with the compromises I mentioned in the June Newsletter.

I’m double checking the design, assembly fixtures, checking in with my vendors, and revisiting the Project Gantt chart so that I can share an estimate on when it will be available for pre-order in the December Newsletter. By the way, thanks for subscribing.
Cheers,
Eric.
