Da poco ho scoperto Macduff's Soap Company ... e non è quello dei Simpsons. https://macduffssoapcompany.com/
Una piccola azienda canadese (Edmonton, Alberta ... come Karve) creata nel 2017, che offre prodotti molto interessanti.
Due linee di fragranze, una "territoriale" (Alberta Series) e l'altra più complessa (MSC Series).
Come sempre, mi ha attirato il lato tecnico.
Le formulazioni sono ricche e moderne.
Per i saponi, due formule:
Trovo belle anche le confezioni, ed il sito facilmente fruibile.
Ma soprattutto le fragranze, con bland molto equilibrati ma allo stesso tempo particolari.
Insomma, una bella sorpresa.

E' già da un po' che tengo d'occhio Macduff Mens Grooming, presente anche su Etsy dove il prezzo dei prodotti è espresso in €; i saponi vengono venduti a € 17,43 mentre gli after a € 15,41; il costo della spedizione, sempre su Etsy è circa € 17,43. A seguire il link di Etsy:

Nonostante l’innata simpatia che nutro per i canadesi e per chiunque in genere si degni di offrire una linea di after senza alcool, questa volta aspetterò volentieri più di qualche parere prima di lanciarmi. E magari anche l’uscita di qualche nuova profumazione che solletichi la mia curiosità
Penso che la V3B segua lo stesso modello.
Al posto dell'acqua, Aloe Vera e Latte di Capra.
Molto bene ...

Io ho usato un paio di volte il loro Autumn Cabin, devo dire che è veramente un gran sapone. Si presenta semiduro nella sua ciotola, più verso il morbido a dire il vero che il duro. Si monta senza problemi e ne esce una bella crema yogurtosa che tiene per tutta la rasatura e oltre. Protettivo, scivoloso con un ottimo post. Completa il tutto il suo dopobarba che ha una fragranza veramente forte che dura tutto il giorno.
Ottimo prodotto davvero.

Tempo fa c'è stata una riformulazione.
Come dice l'artigiano, nulla di eclatante.
I maggiori cambiamenti sono nel confezionamento ed etichettatura.

I know there are some of you that really enjoy V3, but V4 is not going to be a huge leap like V2 to V3 was — it’s mostly the new packaging and some tweaks that I feel have improved the lather.
1. Coconut, babassu and rice bran oils are gone completely and are replaced by kokum butter.
2. A slight bump to mango butter and castor oil.
3. Switching to a higher quality cocoa butter that is also certified free trade.
4. Plain Balkan Yogurt — this helps keep the soap easy to work as it cools. It’s also good for the skin.
5. Liquid extracts — Easier to work with than the powdered extracts and come pre mixed in propendiol, a natural plant based product similar in function to glycerine. This switch has lightened our soap considerably, some of you may have noticed that already since we switched to green tea liquid extract a few weeks ago.
6. White willow bark is not available in a liquid extract at this time, so we swapped that with Tremella or “snow mushroom” extract:
“Tremella is prized in skincare applications due to its strong water-binding capacities. With the new packaging we’ll be adding in side labels. The side labels forced me to reassess our packaging design:
1. The quotes will only present on the online listings. Cleaner look is better.
2. Scent notes: I’ve expanded listing the 3 main notes to include all the notes.
3. A one size fits all approach caused some clashing with certain images and resulted in a loss of legibility of the title and our logo depending on the image. Now I’ll be working with each image on an individual basis in terms of placement and font choice.

Dopo parecchio tempo sono riuscito ad entrare in possesso di un barattolo di McDuff's.
La fragranza che ho scelto e' Rosemary Sea Salt della Explorer Series.
Bel barattolo con livrea nera, che caratterizza tutta la serie che il produttore Canadese ha denominato Explorer.
Il primo impatto e' stato quello di trovarsi di fronte un tallowato di tutto rispetto, che compete con i migliori fin qui provati ed usati.
Con pochi giri di pennello sono riuscito a caricare sufficiente prodotto per le mie canoniche quattro insaponate.
La schiuma ottenuta e' bella compatta ed aderente, richiede abbastanza acqua, e la scorrevolezza di tutto rispetto.
Protezione di livello assoluto, alla fine della sbarbata la pelle e' elastica, tonica e rilassata.
Per concludere la fragranza, che per quello che mi riguarda incide parecchio in merito all'apprezzamento di un prodotto.
A mio gusto davvero fantastica.
Predomina il rosmarino addolcito da un sentore agrumato; il tutto si appoggia in un odore marino, salato, lo potrei definire molto adriatico.
Sembra di stare seduti di fronte al mare da uno scoglio del mio amato Monte Conero.
Davvero spettacolare.
Avevo gia' provato una sensazione del genere con Sbandavapori di Jonserra, ma qui la predominanza e' maggiormente "marina", sa di salsedine, dove in quella splendida del produttore spagnolo predominava la macchia mediterranea.
Davvero un gran bel prodotto.
